Farm using anaerobic digestion technology

Galli Engineering is a leader in Anaerobic Digestion (AD) technologies to treat organic wastes with varying compositions such as the organic fraction of municipal solids waste and various agricultural and dairy wastes. In addition, further attention on the relation between feedstock composition, organic loading rate, and mixing regimes is required for the selection of Anaerobic Digestion systems.

AD is a series of biological processes in which micro organisms break down biodegradable waste in the absence of oxygen to produce renewable energy. Large amounts of waste, industrial wastewater and residuals, fats, oils, grease, and various other organic waste avoid getting dumped into landfills.

Once processed this waste is converted into biogas which can be used as fuel to generate electricity, or further processed into renewable natural gas and transportation fuel, separated digested solids can be composted and used for crop land, dairy bedding, and more.

The nutrients that are produced in the liquid stream can be used in agriculture as fertilizer. The AD Technology continues to advance and various types of AD Systems have been designed to create the most efficient performance for specific forms of waste. This is where Galli Engineering excels, selecting the most appropriate AD technology for the specific type of feedstock.
